The theme for World AIDS Day this year is "HIV: Reality", the intention for this year's theme is to encourage a better understanding of the issues around HIV by presenting real people and their stories. 

By focusing on real lives and situations we hope to dispel myths and misunderstandings around HIV and to encourage Safer sex, early testing and an understanding of the stigma and Discrimination which can be encountered by those affected by HIV in the UK.
