Young Persons Clinics

NHS Lanarkshire have drop in clinics across Lanarkshire for young people up to the age of 20 years. They are provided in both health and non-health settings.  The staff are specially trained and are used to seeing young people.

If you have any symptoms and are not attending a young person’s clinic where it is noted that a doctor will be present, please call 0300 303 0251 (line open Monday to Friday 9am to 4.45pm) for an appointment.

Information is available on a wide range of health issues that you may wish to ask about.

Confidentiality – The service is confidential, however if you are under 16 years of age and share some information which may place you or someone else in danger staff have to share the information disclosed with other agencies.

Services offered differ from clinic to clinic but all offer:

  • Information/advice on all sexual health issues
  • STI screening
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Contraception
  • Referral to other services (e.g. smoking cessation, mainstream sexual health services)
  • Free Condoms

Please note, you are advised to attend the Young Person’s Drop In Clinics early as occasionally, due to staff shortages, the clinic numbers need to be capped before the advertised finish time.
